Most profitable work at home jobs.

499019_talking2.jpgI have been researching ways to work at home for several years now. But before I go any further I need to share with other work at home job seekers that there are some scams out there.

I have sent in a good deal of money in start up fees for businesses that promised me I could do medical billing from home, stuff envelopes, make jewelry and even complete data entry from my home computer. I learned fast that no one should ever have to pay money to work. If a company requires you to pay money up front it is most likely due to the fact they are hiring you as an independent contractor and it is you will be running your own business. The other reason companies charge you a fee is because they are trying to scam you for money. If a company asks you to pay a fee for a job or a so called work at home business, be sure to check out the site’s background history through the Better Business Bureau Online or through Compaints board.

I myself, have finally found my niche and that is in freelance writing. Freelance writing is a great way for me to use my creative mind and research skills to work from home and make a living.

Not everyone is cut out to to be a writer and actually for most it must come naturally or you won’t be successful in informing your readers. The good news is there are several other genres of work at home jobs that anyone with any skill level can put to use and profit from.

Here are some of the most popular and profitable work at home jobs:

Customer Service Representative- Although one of the most popular of customer service representative job requires an upfront fee, LiveOps; they are a reputable company to work for and are not scam artists. They charge a nominal fee for a credit and background check for all new representatives. LiveOps treats each customer service representative as an independent contractor and therefore you are opening up your own business with LiveOps. How much time you put into the business will result in how much money you will make. There are several work at home jobs that hire customer service representatives that do not require a start up fee and are free to join, such as Cyber Secretaries, West at home and SOL.

Medical Transcriptionist- If you have completed the schooling and or training for a medical transcriptionist, you have created the foundation for being able to work at home. You will have to invest in a computer with high speed internet access, a headset and a foot petal. Many transcriptionist companies will provide you with the software required to perform the job. Generally these jobs are free to join but you need to have experience. Many transcriptionists who work at home make anywhere from $15,000 to $50,000 a year.

Google- Create a website and place google adsense on your page and every time your webpage gets a hit; you make money.

Virtual Assistants- There are several companies that are hiring virtual assistants to complete projects at home. Most work is transmitted through email and virtual fax. If you can type and have general clerical skills a Virtual Assistant job may be perfect for you.

Online Proof Reader- If you have a good idea for detail and catching mistakes, being an online proofreader is a great way to work off of your computer from the comfort of your own home.

A few more work at home jobs that fall under the miscellaneous category are virtual call center jobs, taking online surveys, online mock jury’s and trials, paid for what you know, posting photos, virtual tutors, online psychics and advice, and voice overs.

There are a wealth of work at home opportunities, for any body who has the willingness to work.
